Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are exploring new opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, with their main focus on achieving sustainability and long-term agricultural development.

The two officials held their discussions during a meeting which took place at the Italy-Central Asia (C5) plus Azerbaijan International Agribusiness Forum in Tashkent.

The meeting produced proposals which both parties presented to establish new agricultural research partnerships which would solve environmental and climate change challenges.

The primary objective of the project involved establishing better partnerships between the two countries for processing agricultural products which included grain and legumes and oilseed crops.

The two countries plan to enhance their agricultural supply chains by increasing operational efficiency through better value-added production methods.

The two countries explored partnership possibilities through their discussions which focused on livestock production with special emphasis on meat and dairy industries.

The projects will enhance productivity while they create economic growth in rural areas and establish a reliable system for food distribution.

The officials stated that increased cooperation between the two countries would strengthen their diplomatic relationship while it also helped to develop agricultural ties between different regions.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan states that the collaborative projects between the two nations will improve food security while increasing their ability to export goods. The two countries intend to achieve better international market results through their joint agricultural strategy work.

Tashkent serves as the venue for the international business forum which runs from March 23 to March 24 and focuses on "Regenerative Agriculture and Digitalization for Sustainable Agro-Ecosystems."

The event has brought together participants from Italy, Central Asian nations, and Azerbaijan to show how innovation and sustainability now drive agricultural development throughout the region.
