Uzbekistan and the United States are strengthening their strategic partnership by exploring new opportunities in trade, investment, energy, critical minerals, transportation and digital technologies. The two countries are also seeking to expand interparliamentary and interregional cooperation as economic engagement gains greater importance in their bilateral relationship.
The developments follow a meeting between Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and US Senator Steve Daines on September 3. Daines, who serves as co-chair of the US Senate Central Asia Caucus and represents Montana, discusses prospects for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
