Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef met in Riyadh with Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry Nedal Al-Shaar to discuss enhancing economic relations and fostering industrial investment partnerships between their nations.
Alkhorayef commended Syria’s role as the Guest of Honor in the third version of the Made in Saudi Expo, emphasizing that this signifies the strong fraternal bonds and the mutual economic connections between the two nations.
The officials talked about elements of industrial collaboration and the chances for Syria to leverage the Kingdom’s knowledge and successful track record in enhancing its industrial sector. They tackled key export prospects that can enhance trade expansion, bolster industrial and economic collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Syria, and promote their developmental objectives and mutual interests.
Alkhorayef disclosed that the Kingdom’s non-oil exports hit SAR307 billion in the first half of this year, representing the highest semiannual growth ever recorded. He announced this while taking part in a discussion session with Al-Shaar alongside the Made in Saudi Expo 2025.

Alkhorayef noted that Saudi Vision 2030 has led to unprecedented performance and ongoing growth in non-oil exports in recent years by enhancing national industrial capabilities, improving the quality of Saudi products, and increasing their availability in global markets.
He emphasized chances for collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Syria in creating industrial cities, allowing Damascus to leverage the Kingdom’s successful track record in export enhancement and local content assistance, thus aiding its economic development.
Alkhorayef emphasized the efficiency, skill, and craftsmanship exhibited by Syrian investors in the Kingdom’s industrial sector, expressing his hope that this sector would transform into a fundamental support for Syria’s economic progress.
