  • Ecoprogetti commissions fully automated 400 MW solar module plant in Salalah.
  • The facility utilizes advanced TOPCon and HJT technologies with end-to-end automation.
  • Plant strengthens Oman’s solar manufacturing and exports to U.S. markets.

Ecoprogetti has effectively set up a completely automated 400 MW solar module manufacturing line in Salalah, Oman. This new facility represents a major achievement for solar manufacturing in the nation and enhances Ecoprogetti’s position in the Middle East.

The Salalah facility enables Ecoprogetti to extend its reach throughout Oman, building on the success of its Sheida Solar series in Sohar, and establishes the company as the leading manufacturer of photovoltaic modules in the region.

The recently established plant for American Advanced Clean Energy (AACE) is completely designed and constructed in Italy. It incorporates cutting-edge technologies for manufacturing TOPCon and HJT modules, with complete automation throughout every phase of production. This encompasses stringing, lay-up, lamination, framing, testing, and quality checks.

The system is built for optimal productivity and quality while still being adaptable to changing technologies and market demands. Ecoprogetti states that its solutions are designed for both new producers and established firms aiming for increased automation, reduced operational expenses, and accurate process quality oversight.

The establishment of the Salalah plant guarantees nationwide production reach, with local manufacturing supporting both northern and southern areas. Ecoprogetti currently dominates the majority of Oman’s photovoltaic module production market, showcasing the dependability and attractiveness of Italian technology within the nation.

AACE, the operator of the facility, is a manufacturer of photovoltaic modules based in the U.S. that gains advantages from Oman’s Free Trade Agreement with the United States. This enables AACE to export solar modules with favorable access to the U.S., which is one of the largest and swiftly expanding solar markets worldwide.
