Vietnam and Singapore review bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, finance, infrastructure, energy and technology, while preparing for the 20th Connectivity Ministerial Meeting scheduled in Singapore.
Vietnam and Singapore hold a senior officials’ meeting to review bilateral cooperation and discuss new initiatives ahead of the 20th Singapore-Vietnam Connectivity Ministerial Meeting.
The meeting brings together representatives from ministries and government agencies of both countries under the Connectivity Ministerial Meeting framework. The mechanism serves as a platform to monitor the implementation of existing cooperation and identify priorities for future engagement.

Officials review progress across several areas, including the economy, investment, trade and agriculture, finance and banking, sustainable development, transport and infrastructure, energy, science and technology, and human resources development. Both sides also discuss opportunities to strengthen economic connectivity and facilitate greater flows of investment, trade and services.
The delegations agree on the importance of making more effective use of existing cooperation mechanisms while expanding areas that align with the development priorities of both countries. Financial and investment connectivity, infrastructure and logistics, business support, the digital economy and innovation are among the areas highlighted during the discussions.
Vietnam also calls on Singapore to continue sharing its experience and supporting capacity-building initiatives. The Vietnamese side seeks stronger links with Singaporean financial institutions, investment funds, businesses and other partners in sectors where there is potential for greater cooperation.
The discussions also focus on strengthening business-to-business connections. Greater cooperation between companies from the two countries is expected to support investment and trade opportunities while expanding the flow of services between the two markets.
Both sides agree to maintain close coordination as they prepare for the 20th Singapore-Vietnam Connectivity Ministerial Meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Singapore on October 9. The senior officials’ meeting is intended to help prepare the ground for the ministerial discussions and support implementation of their eventual outcomes.

Vietnam and Singapore have expanded their relationship across economic, technological, financial and infrastructure-related areas. Their cooperation also includes emerging sectors such as digital technologies and innovation.
The upcoming ministerial meeting is expected to provide another platform for both countries to review ongoing initiatives and identify additional opportunities for bilateral economic connectivity.
