Sun Life has launched a global private wealth platform focused on high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients in Asia, offering integrated cross-border wealth planning, insurance, and legacy solutions as the region's affluent population continues to grow.

Sun Life has launched a global private wealth platform aimed at serving high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals across Asia, strengthening its presence in one of the world's fastest-growing wealth markets. The integrated platform combines wealth planning, insurance, and legacy solutions to help affluent clients manage, preserve, and transfer assets across multiple jurisdictions.

The new platform is designed to address the increasingly complex financial needs of globally mobile clients whose assets, businesses, and family members are spread across different countries. It provides coordinated access to Sun Life's private wealth capabilities in key financial centres, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Bermuda, and Dubai, enabling clients to develop long-term cross-border wealth and succession strategies.

According to Sun Life, demand for integrated wealth planning solutions is rising as affluent families seek greater financial resilience, estate planning support, and intergenerational wealth transfer. Insurance products are increasingly being used not only for financial protection but also as strategic tools for preserving wealth, ensuring liquidity, and supporting succession planning in an uncertain global economic environment.

The launch comes as Asia continues to emerge as the world's fastest-growing wealth region. Capgemini's World Wealth Report estimates that the region's HNW wealth grew by 10.5% to US$29.7 trillion in 2025, driven by expanding entrepreneurship, investment activity, and rising family wealth. Emerging markets such as India and Southeast Asia are also expected to contribute significantly to future wealth creation, prompting financial institutions to expand their private wealth offerings.

Sun Life's initiative reflects a broader trend within the insurance industry, where companies are integrating wealth management with traditional insurance services to better serve affluent clients. By combining cross-border advisory services with customised insurance and investment solutions, insurers are seeking to strengthen long-term client relationships while addressing increasingly sophisticated wealth management requirements.

With the launch of its global private wealth platform, Sun Life aims to strengthen its position in Asia's expanding HNW market while supporting clients with integrated solutions for wealth creation, preservation, and legacy planning. The move also reinforces the company's long-term strategy of expanding its private wealth business in high-growth international markets.
