NACCIMA, China to Deepen Industrial and Technological Ties

In line with its continuous trade and investment mission to China, the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and its business delegation recently undertook a number of targeted industrial visits throughout Guangzhou.

Dr. Jani Ibrahim, President of NACCIMA, remarked that the visits would enhance partnerships, facilitate technology transfer, and promote investment cooperation between Nigerian and Chinese firms. To enhance bilateral cooperation, Ibrahim and his team toured Yiyou International Auto Parts Commodities Trading Center, Nexwise, and Guangzhou Heli Pharmaceutical Co.

At the Yiyou (International) Auto Parts Commodities Trading Centre, the group engaged with prominent manufacturers and distributors within the automotive industry. Conversations focused on possible collaboration in the supply of vehicle components, logistics for distribution, and forming assembly partnerships to bolster Nigeria’s expanding automotive sector.

The team also explored Nexwise, a cutting-edge company offering artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for various sectors, including security, transportation, and smart manufacturing. The delegation learned about Nexwise's cutting-edge technologies in AI-based automation and surveillance systems, with discussions centered on customizing similar solutions for Nigerian industries and SMEs to boost productivity and facilitate digital transformation.

They additionally visited Guangzhou Heli Pharmaceutical Co., investigating prospects in pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug distribution, and healthcare investment, particularly regarding Nigeria’s push for local drug production and enhanced access to medical technology.

While visiting furniture, hardware, and building markets in Guangzhou, the president stated that the aim was to return with technologies to enhance expertise in Nigeria. Ibrahim praised the management teams of the host companies for their hospitality and eagerness to work together, highlighting the association’s dedication to enabling business-to-business (B2B) connections.
