Indonesia is poised to further establish itself as a destination hub on the global scene with a collaborative agreement between Travel Meet Asia and the Indonesian Association of Travel Agents (ASITA) that aims to promote the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry.

 The goal here is to develop the tourism potential of key areas such as Bali, Yogyakarta, Sumatra, and Sulawesi.

The partnership aims at enhancing the overall international presence of Indonesian tourism. This is being achieved through the promotion of Indonesia’s various destinations as the top choice for MICE.

 The partnership is expected to capitalize on the strong network of Travel Meet Asia and the local knowledge base of ASITA to promote Indonesia as the top destination for business and recreation tourism.

 Regions such as Bali, Yogyakarta, Sumatra, and Sulawesi are being targeted to ensure the stimulation of the local economy.

This partnership will also focus on the development of infrastructure and facilities for MICE business. The project will shed the spotlight on the beautiful cultural diversity and nature of Indonesia.

This initiative has received great support from the Tourism Ministry in Indonesia, who recognize its potential for revitalizing the tourism industry in the country after the onset of the pandemic.
