The formal activation of the corridor is scheduled to take place during Pharma Eurasia 2026, a major industry event planned in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from May 20 to May 22, 2026.

The initiative demonstrates a wider movement which aims to combine India's pharmaceutical manufacturing expertise with Uzbekistan's developing healthcare and life sciences industry.

India stands as one of the biggest worldwide producers of low-cost medicines and dietary supplements while Uzbekistan has dedicated resources to update its healthcare system and build international partnerships.

The trade corridor will establish pathways for both technology transfer and regulatory collaboration while enabling the creation of new healthcare solutions which will serve the needs of both nations.

The partnership intends to drive innovation through its work in the expanding nutraceutical industry which develops health supplements and functional foods that promote better health.

The two countries plan to enhance their pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries through improved cooperation because they want to strengthen their healthcare systems while developing their industries and establishing better trade links between Central Asia and South Asia.

The new corridor serves as an important milestone which will help develop a more powerful life sciences ecosystem while establishing better international healthcare partnerships.
