Chinese Premier Li Qiang stated that Beijing is prepared to collaborate with Singapore and other ASEAN member countries to enhance economic and trade growth and attain better development results. During his official visit to Singapore, Li met with Acting President Teo Chee Hean and committed that China would collaborate with Singapore to realize the potential of the bilateral economic and trade partnership.
He also indicated Beijing’s readiness to enhance cooperation in emerging sectors such as the digital economy, green development, and artificial intelligence (AI) to promote the modernization of both countries.
The Chinese premier urged enhanced collaboration between the two nations in multilateral forums to support multilateralism and free trade, advance a fair and organized multipolar world, and encourage inclusive and mutually advantageous global economic growth.

Li states that the world is entering a new and chaotic phase characterized by significant changes and interrelated global issues. He stated that China and Singapore ought to enhance solidarity and collaboration, strengthen political trust, and improve strategic dialogue and high-level exchanges for the advantage of both countries, the region, and globally.
Li also reconfirmed that China is prepared to collaborate with Singapore and ASEAN nations to establish a prosperous China–ASEAN Free Trade Area (FTA 3.0), laying the groundwork for even greater growth in the future.
Acting President Teo Chee Hean stated that Singapore is dedicated to synchronizing its development strategies with China’s and enhancing cooperation in economy, trade, and interpersonal exchanges. He emphasized that Singapore will contribute to enhancing the ASEAN–China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and pursue initiatives to foster an open global economy.
