The discussions took place during a meeting between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf, and a United States delegation led by Senator Steve Daines. The officials reviewed the progress of bilateral relations and explored new opportunities to deepen economic and strategic cooperation.
According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, both sides noted that the Azerbaijan–US strategic partnership continues to advance through sustained political engagement and mutual trust. The meeting highlighted the growing importance of economic collaboration in supporting long-term bilateral relations and regional development.
Trade and investment featured prominently in the discussions. Officials explored ways to encourage greater commercial engagement, attract investment, and strengthen partnerships between businesses in both countries. The officials highlighted the corridor's role as an alternative to traditional Northern and Southern transport routes, providing faster and more diversified logistics options for the movement of goods between Asia and European markets. The meeting also underscored the significance of the Economic Dialogue platform established under the Azerbaijan–US Charter on Strategic Partnership.
