ADNOC has unveiled more than AED 60 billion ($16.3 billion) in UAE manufacturing opportunities through 2030, covering over 200 products and critical spare parts to strengthen local industry and supply chains.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has announced more than AED 60 billion ($16.3 billion) in local manufacturing opportunities through 2030, inviting UAE suppliers and manufacturers to produce essential industrial equipment and components currently sourced from international markets. The initiative aims to strengthen domestic industrial capabilities, create skilled jobs and improve supply-chain resilience across the United Arab Emirates.

The announcement was made at the second Make it with ADNOC Forum in Abu Dhabi, ahead of the ADIPEC energy industry event. The opportunities cover more than 200 essential products and a range of critical spare parts used in ADNOC’s projects and operations. The targeted categories include rotating equipment and power systems, electrical and automation equipment, drilling and completion tools, chemicals and catalysts, piping, fabrication, heavy equipment and advanced manufacturing.

Many of these products are currently imported. ADNOC expects local production to help shorten delivery times, reduce exposure to global supply disruptions and improve the reliability of equipment and materials required for its energy operations. The company is also providing manufacturers with greater visibility into future procurement requirements to help them plan investments and expand production capacity.

To support implementation, ADNOC will work with the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office to connect manufacturers with industrial support, investment opportunities and financing through the National Industrial Resilience Fund. The company also signed memorandums of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and KEZAD Group to advance local industrial development.

ADNOC announced an expansion of its Local+ programme to more than 100 UAE manufacturers, up from 70 at its launch in May 2026. The programme gives locally manufactured products priority in eligible ADNOC projects by requiring engineering, procurement and construction contractors to source designated products from approved UAE manufacturers.

The company is also revising its supplier registration and procurement processes. The redesigned system aims to reduce supplier onboarding time by up to 80%, halve documentation requirements and remove prequalification requirements for 60% of service categories. Artificial intelligence will support document verification and reuse of existing data, reducing administrative work for suppliers.

ADNOC’s In-Country Value programme has redirected more than AED 307 billion into the UAE economy by the end of 2025 since its launch in 2018. The programme has supported the localisation of more than 130 products, the development of 95 factories and employment opportunities for more than 27,500 Emiratis in participating private sector companies.
