Nepal President Ramchandra Paudel asked Japanese businesses to investigate new trade possibilities and investment chances in Nepal during the diplomatic relations 70th anniversary which both countries observe.
President Paudel spoke at an interaction event in Tokyo where he described Nepal's stable macroeconomic conditions which attract foreign investment through simplified profit repatriation processes and strong investor protection measures.
He assured investors that the government will provide complete assistance together with streamlined support processes and protection for their investment and commercial activities.
President Paudel demonstrated Nepal's enduring friendship with Japan which originated from their historical and cultural connections when he said the anniversary presents a prime opportunity to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual benefit.
He invited Japanese firms to invest in key sectors such as agriculture and water resources and tourism and technology-driven industries which can create economic benefits for Nepal and its Japanese partners.

Paudel explained that investment in Nepal brings financial rewards to investors because it helps to develop the country which offers economic possibilities and shared success to its people.
The President confirmed that Nepal is working to achieve two objectives which include becoming a middle-income country by 2030 and ending its status as a least developed country by 2026.
He explained that Nepal has opened most economic sectors to foreign participation including manufacturing, hydropower, services, IT, mining, and agriculture-based industries and the country has established comprehensive legal and procedural systems which enable trade while drawing foreign investment and fostering new ideas.
Government officials, including Nepal’s Acting Ambassador to Japan and senior foreign ministry representatives, showcased the country’s investment opportunities during the event.
The Japanese business community members showed optimism about the upcoming business prospects, which they believed would strengthen trade and investment ties between Nepal and Japan.
