Both Nepal and China have agreed in principle on accelerating joint projects and enhancing border trade to upgrade the bilateral economic relationship. The agreement, finalized during a recent meeting between the officials of both countries, underlines accelerating infrastructure development and smoothing the border trade.
Both sides have agreed to step up the pace of completing some critical projects within the framework of the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI). There has been special focus on the key element of connectivity through roadways, railways, and ports.
