The move was undertaken by Mitsubishi Fuso, a Daimler Trucks Company, and Foxconn Technology Group to form a strategic partnership for the production of commercial electric vehicles.
With the announcement of their new alliance on the 22nd of January, 2026, the two companies will capitalize on Foxconn’s high electronics manufacturing technology and the complementary know-how of Mitsubishi Fuso in the field of automobiles to develop innovative electric commercial vehicles.
Such a development is coming at a time when there is a high demand for eco-friendly and emission-free transportation modes, especially in the commercial field.
Under this partnership, Foxconn will take on the task of making critical components of electronics, such as battery management systems and power trains, while Mitsubishi Fuso would concentrate on building vehicles, utilizing their vast expertise in the commercial vehicle sector.
