  • KazTransOil resumes oil exports to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan by December 2025.
  • Deliveries: 30,000 tons to Kyrgyzstan, 35,000 tons to Uzbekistan.
  • Move boosts Kazakhstan’s role as Central Asia’s energy transit hub.

KazTransOil, Kazakhstan’s national oil transporter and a subsidiary of KazMunayGas, revealed plans to expand export routes, increasing supplies to the Kyrgyz Republic and resuming oil transit to Uzbekistan by December 2025.

The company reported that oil deliveries to the Kyrgyz Republic resumed in November, signifying the initial shipments since 2017. KazTransOil intends to deliver up to 30,000 tons of oil to the nation by the conclusion of 2025, signifying revitalized collaboration in regional energy logistics.

Transit shipments to Uzbekistan are scheduled to restart in December, with expected volumes hitting as much as 35,000 tons. Shipments to both locations are conveyed via Kazakhstan’s primary oil pipeline network to the Shagyr loading terminal, where the crude oil is moved into railway tank cars for further distribution.

KazTransOil highlighted that this favorable trend in export and transit volumes has been achieved through efficient and mutually advantageous collaboration with global partners, emphasizing Kazakhstan's increasing importance as a dependable energy transit center in Central Asia.

Analysts note that consistent oil transit and exports can boost revenue, encourage infrastructure investments, and support long-term partnerships, positioning KazTransOil as a key player in regional energy logistics.

The expansion of export routes also signals Kazakhstan’s commitment to diversifying its energy corridor options, reducing dependency on single markets, and improving logistical resilience. With modernized pipeline and rail infrastructure, the country is better equipped to meet growing regional demand. This initiative may also attract further foreign investment and collaborative projects in the energy sector.
