Jakarta will host the third Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair from October 15-17, bringing more than 300 buyers from 35 countries together to promote Indonesian tourism beyond Bali.
Jakarta is set to host the third edition of the Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair (WITF) from October 15 to 17, 2026, as Indonesia steps up efforts to promote its tourism destinations to international and domestic travel markets. The event will be held at the Grand Ballroom of Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran.
Organised by the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI) in partnership with the Jakarta provincial government, this year’s event has been branded Jakarta WITF to coincide with the city’s upcoming 500th anniversary. The three-day business-to-business tourism event will bring together more than 300 domestic and international buyers from 35 countries.

The participating buyers represent both leisure and corporate travel segments, while sellers will include tour operators, hotels, transport providers and tourism attractions. The event is designed to facilitate business meetings and strengthen relationships between Indonesian tourism businesses and international travel partners.
Alongside the B2B sessions, WITF 2026 will feature panel discussions, talk shows and a Top Leaders Forum. The programme is taking place against a backdrop of challenges affecting global tourism, including geopolitical tensions, higher energy costs and changing travel patterns.
GIPI chairman Haryadi Sukamdani said continued engagement with international markets remains important despite these challenges. He highlighted the need for the Indonesian tourism industry to continue promoting destinations, developing business relationships and engaging with buyers.
The event is also expected to support Indonesia’s efforts to diversify its tourism offerings beyond Bali. The Ministry of Tourism will organise post-event familiarisation trips for international buyers from October 18, covering destinations such as Belitung, East Java, North Sulawesi and West Java.

Ni Made Ayu Marthini, deputy for marketing at Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism, said the familiarisation programme aims to introduce buyers to destinations outside Bali. Belitung, for instance, is gaining attention as connectivity from Singapore to Tanjung Kelayang improves.
The fair comes as Jakarta seeks to strengthen its position as a meeting point for tourism businesses and international buyers. WITF steering committee chairman Budi Tirtawisata described the capital as more than an arrival point, highlighting its role as a platform for tourism and business connections.
