  • Refurbished aircraft introduce enhanced comfort, upgraded cabins, and improved long-haul travel experience.
  • Expansion aims to redefine luxury travel while offering affordable premium comfort options

Emirates Airline is significantly expanding its Premium Economy cabin offerings as part of a major effort to enhance the long-haul travel experience and redefine luxury travel for passengers seeking comfort at a mid-tier fare.

The Dubai-based carrier has begun rolling out refurbished aircraft across key global routes which now include Premium Economy service to additional destinations throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

This expansion is supported by a fleet retrofit programme that will see aircraft reconfigured with three-class cabins Business Premium Economy and Economy because modern travellers seek extra comfort without paying for Business Class.

The first upgraded Airbus A380 with expanded Premium Economy under the retrofit plan will begin its service in April. The aircraft will first operate between Dubai and Amman before its route to Prague which begins in June.

By November, Emirates expects all 15 of its two-class A380 aircraft to be converted into three-class layouts, which will increase the number of Premium Economy seats available on popular international routes.

The airline will operate upgraded A380s to Zurich from March, while its Milan services will use a retrofitted Boeing 777 from May and all Dublin flights will include Premium Economy service on their weekly routes starting October.

The airline's expanded cabin offerings now provide passengers with better services on all their Asian and African routes which include Ho Chi Minh City and Entebbe as new destinations that will receive aircraft upgrades later this year.

Emirates seeks to create a uniform Premium Economy service throughout its network by developing this service to 99 new destinations before 2026, which will allow more passengers to experience greater comfort and improved onboard services.

The Emirates plan to strengthen its position as an international airline while creating better travel options for passengers and maintaining a uniform travel experience throughout its global network.
