Denmark, LTP Group Open Solar-Powered Garment Factory in Vietnam

The Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam and LTP Group – Asia hosted a ceremony to open LTP’s newly upgraded garment factory in Ho Chi Minh City, which includes a contemporary solar power system. The project showcases LTP’s dedication to environmentally friendly manufacturing and illustrates how Danish–Vietnamese collaboration is turning sustainability objectives into concrete advancements.

In recent years, Vietnam and Denmark have developed a strong partnership aimed at common objectives like sustainability, innovation, and inclusive growth. Central to this collaboration is the Green Strategic Partnership, which unites government-level cooperation and active private-sector involvement to expedite Vietnam’s green transition. The Green Strategic Partnership aids Vietnam in realizing its national development objectives and transforming vision into action, encompassing clean energy, health, food safety, and education.

Commerce and eco-friendly investments are fundamental elements of the Green Strategic Partnership. Over 150 Danish firms are presently engaged in Vietnam, offering top-tier knowledge, eco-friendly technologies, and sustainable business approaches to aid the nation’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

LTP Group’s commitment to solar energy exemplifies how Danish companies are actively participating in this shift, minimizing environmental effects while enhancing innovation and long-term competitiveness. LTP demonstrates that it is feasible to achieve business success while simultaneously safeguarding the environment by merging business expansion with eco-friendly solutions. The updated solar system currently generates over 35 percent of the the factory's electricity requirements and contributes to reducing carbon emissions by approximately 482 tonnes each year.
