CanCham Bangladesh and BBCC sign an MoU to identify investment opportunities, increase exports, promote Canadian products in Bangladesh and strengthen business networks between the two countries.
The Canada-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CanCham Bangladesh) and the Bangladesh Business Chamber of Canada (BBCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral trade, investment and commercial cooperation between Bangladesh and Canada. The agreement aims to create new business opportunities, expand market access and encourage stronger engagement between companies and entrepreneurs in both countries.
The MoU establishes a framework for the two chambers to work jointly in identifying and supporting potential investment opportunities in Bangladesh. It also seeks to increase exports of Bangladeshi products to Canada while facilitating the entry and promotion of Canadian products in the Bangladeshi market.

Under the partnership, both organisations will encourage cooperation in areas of mutual commercial interest and strengthen business connections among their respective members. The chambers will facilitate information-sharing, help businesses identify potential partners and provide opportunities for companies to explore markets in both countries.
The agreement was signed by BBCC Vice-President Ferdous Ahmed on behalf of the Bangladesh Business Chamber of Canada and CanCham Bangladesh President Mohammad Kamal Uddin on behalf of the Canada-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. CanCham Bangladesh Treasurer Ali Bakhtiar Mahmud and M. Shahadat Hossain Sohel, President of the Bangladesh Terry Towel and Linen Manufacturers and Exporters Association, attended the signing ceremony.
The collaboration comes as Bangladesh continues to explore opportunities to diversify its export destinations, attract foreign investment and strengthen international economic partnerships. Canada represents an important market for Bangladeshi businesses, particularly exporters seeking to expand their international customer base and establish stronger distribution networks.
For Canadian businesses, the agreement provides an institutional platform to explore investment opportunities and commercial partnerships in Bangladesh. Cooperation between the chambers could also support the exchange of business information, improve connections with local enterprises and help companies understand market requirements in both countries.
The partnership is expected to encourage greater private-sector participation in bilateral economic relations. By connecting business communities, the two organisations aim to help entrepreneurs identify opportunities, develop commercial relationships and explore potential joint ventures.
