The strong evolution of e-commerce is creating exceptional chances for Vietnamese businesses to make their mark on the international export scene. In Hanoi, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), part of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Amazon Global Selling Vietnam formally established a three-year strategic partnership and introduced the 'V-Brands Go Global with Amazon' initiative.
The initiative intends to assist 1,000 businesses and 30 Vietnamese brands in enhancing their export operations via e-commerce by the year 2027.
During the event, Vietrade Director General, Vu Ba Phu, stated that actively advancing trade in the digital space is no longer a choice, but a necessity for improving competitiveness and attaining sustainable growth.
He said, “The V-Brands Go Global with Amazon programme is a strategic and practical initiative, marking a new step in the cooperation between the two parties.”
Commenting on the partnership, Larry Hu, general manager of Amazon Global Selling Southeast Asia, said, “This is a transformative period for Vietnam’s digital trade. Amazon is committed to supporting businesses, especially in emerging areas, to innovate, digitise their products, and expand globally.”
The collaboration will occur in two stages: educating 1,000 businesses in online export techniques via 20 tailored courses, and arranging many on-location events in cities and regions such as Hanoi, Bac Ninh, and Haiphong. These occurrences will assist manufacturers in transitioning to a worldwide branding approach.

As per Amazon, over 60 percent of the items available on its platform now originate from third-party vendors, which include thousands of businesses from Vietnam. In the last five years, the sales of Vietnamese products on Amazon have risen by over 300 percent.
A prominent instance is eHerbal's General Director Le Thi Duyen, who stated that e-commerce has allowed her company’s brand to connect with worldwide customers, merging Vietnam’s traditional values with contemporary technology.
In 2025, Amazon Global Selling will concentrate on four main priorities: supporting online exports, fostering industry ecosystems, improving logistics capabilities, and educating seller partners. Simultaneously, Amazon intends to back significant industrial hubs in both northern and southern Vietnam, utilizing regional advantages to transform the 'Made-in-Vietnam' label into an international emblem of innovation and excellence.
