India and Austria are working to deepen their long-standing bilateral relationship by expanding cooperation in trade, technology, peacekeeping, and cultural exchange.
High-level discussions were recently held in New York between India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador P Harish, and Austria’s Deputy Minister of Defence, Arnold Kammel, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration across a range of strategic areas.
These negotiations follow a series of official diplomatic activities which include the 8th Foreign Office Consultations and international diplomatic meeting of international diplomats.
The discussions established their main objective which concerned the development of economic cooperation through improvements in trade and technological exchange.
The two countries established three main objectives which included improving their commercial relations and developing innovative solutions and establishing industrial and technological partnerships.
Austria has established measures to bring more Indian students to its universities which will help meet the need for skilled workers and build stronger people-to-people ties with India.

The economic relationship between India and Austria has expanded to include partnerships in peacekeeping operations and defence operations which they conduct together at United Nations multilateral forums.
The two countries show their commitment to international peace and security through their enhanced peacekeeping partnership which supports their efforts to maintain worldwide stability.
The space between countries includes their cultural exchange programs with educational systems because both sides agreed to enhance their understanding of each other through their student exchange programs.
The new ambassador from Austria to India, Robert Zischg, demonstrated his belief in the historical friendship between both nations while he expressed his positive outlook towards future economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
The recent talks which India and Austria participated in demonstrate their shared desire to increase cooperation through various areas which include trade and technology as well as peacekeeping and education.
