Vietnam and France have again reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, by speeding up cooperation in several key fields such as defence, energy, infrastructure, innovation, and economic development. This renewed momentum shows the shared resolve of both countries to turn diplomatic relationship into real, tangible projects that help sustainable growth, regional steadiness, and longer term prosperity.
During the course of high-level bilateral meetings, Vietnam’s Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung said that France is still Vietnam’s first Comprehensive Strategic Partner within the European Union, not something vague or temporary. He went on to stress Vietnam’s resolve to further intensify ties , mainly by building firmer political confidence, maintaining more regular high-level exchanges, and widening joint cooperation in fields where both sides share interests. On the French side, officials also showed their readiness to closely collaborate with Vietnam so as to carry out the agreements that have been agreed by the leaders of both countries.
The two sides identified a few priority areas for future collaboration. I mean like , civil nuclear energy, strategic transport infrastructure, science and technology, digital innovation , artificial intelligence, defence and security, and also economic cooperation. They both agreed that by speeding up these projects, it would really help build stronger economic resilience, while at the same time opening new windows for investment, research and industrial development.
