Vietnamese President Luong Cuong and Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Zhaparov discussed measures to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation during their meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Bishkek.
The two leaders reviewed the progress of Vietnam-Kyrgyzstan relations and expressed interest in expanding cooperation across trade, investment, transport, tourism, agriculture and education. They also discussed ways to improve connectivity and create new opportunities for businesses in both countries.

Economic cooperation was identified as an important area for further development. Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan see potential to increase bilateral trade and investment by encouraging business communities to establish stronger commercial links and explore new markets.

Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan established diplomatic relations in 1992, and their relationship has gradually expanded across political, economic and cultural areas. The latest high-level meeting reflects efforts to give fresh momentum to bilateral cooperation.
