Russia and Vietnam reaffirm their comprehensive strategic partnership as Putin and To Lam discuss expanding cooperation in energy, trade, defence, technology and investment, with new agreements strengthening bilateral economic ties.
There is an enhancement in the relationship between Russia and Vietnam as Russia's President Vladimir Putin engages in talks with Vietnam's Communist Party General Secretary and President To Lam at the Kremlin. The meeting centres on boosting the partnership in various areas such as economy, energy, defence and technology, among others.
Putin underscores the continuous growth of Russian-Vietnamese relations and notes that the relations have become increasingly substantive and diversified. This is a meeting held amid the official visit of To Lam to Russia, which is one of the steps taken by Vietnam to build relationships with other international parties.

Economic and energy cooperation have continued to be at the heart of the talks.
