  • Mahindra secures its largest export order, delivering 35,000 Scorpio Pik Up vehicles to Indonesia.
  • The vehicles will support logistics for Indonesian cooperatives, enhancing rural transportation and supply chains.
  • This order strengthens Mahindra’s presence in Southeast Asia, boosting their global automotive operations.

Indian automotive giant Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has achieved a major international milestone by securing its largest-ever export order which includes 35,000 units of its Scorpio Pik Up utility vehicles that will be delivered to Indonesia during 2026.

The Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) Project order exceeds Mahindra's total export capacity for fiscal year 2025 which creates a significant advancement for the company's international business development efforts.

The vehicles will be delivered to Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, an Indonesian state-owned enterprise, to support cooperatives being established across the country. The Scorpio Pik Ups which Mahindra manufactures at its Nashik facility possess the capability to operate efficiently in rural areas because they can carry heavy loads while maintaining low operational expenses.

The initiative will enhance local cooperative logistics by enabling efficient transportation of agricultural products from fields to collection points which will then distribute them to markets, thus closing supply-chain gaps while advancing food security objectives.

Mahindra’s Automotive Division CEO Nalinikanth Gollagunta announced that the partnership will enhance all international operations of the company.

The contract shows Mahindra's growing presence in Southeast Asian markets through its delivery of strong transport solutions which meet cooperative requirements while demonstrating its ability to compete in worldwide light commercial vehicle markets.

The export deal represents the Indonesian government's attempts to enhance rural logistics systems and empower rural economies through better infrastructure development and cooperative business models.

The Scorpio Pik Up vehicle will become essential for economic development because it provides specific transportation solutions which meet the needs of villages that supply national supply chains. The landmark order between Mahindra and its customer base will enhance Mahindra's export capabilities while strengthening its position in developing markets beyond India.
