Kim Jong Un Sees an Excellent Future for North Korea-Russia Ties

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has expressed confidence in a stronger future for relations with Russia, reaffirming the growing partnership between Pyongyang and Moscow. The message comes amid expanding cooperation between the two countries.

The leader of North Korea has shown hope regarding his connection with Russia, confirming the growing relations between Pyongyang and the Russian Federation. He sent a letter to the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin dedicated to the 81st anniversary of their country liberation from the Japanese colonial rule to prove his opinion about the need to strengthen the ties.

In this letter, Kim called Putin his friend and stated that he was honored to cooperate with him and strengthen their bilateral relations. The message highlights the increasingly close relationship between North Korea and Russia. The two countries have expanded cooperation in recent years, particularly following North Korea's reported military support for Russia during the Ukraine conflict.

Putin has also emphasised the growing partnership. In a recent message to Kim, the Russian president said the two countries were deepening cooperation across various sectors and coordinating on regional security and stability.

Progressing relationship between the countries has come into play of vicinity states because of the military alliance. North Korea is allegedly sending military equipment and personnel to Russia, while Pyongyang is reportedly profiting from cooperation with the Kremlin.

Besides military, cooperation also refers to wide-spread economic and strategic activities. Russia and North Korea are working together to reinforce transport, trade and other forms of cooperation, which reflect their mutual intentions to establish bilateral connection.

The latest message from Kim comes amid complicated security situation in the country, where North Korea is developing its military capabilities with the help of Russia and China. South Korea is on the route of dialogue and believes that the security situation on the Korean Peninsula can be improved through negotiations.
