  • YEIDA allots 200 acres to Escorts Kubota for ₹4,500 crore tractor facility.
  • Project expected to generate 4,000 jobs in multiple phases.
  • Joint venture aims to strengthen India’s role in agricultural machinery production.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) announced in a statement that it had granted Escorts Kubota Limited 200 acres of land in Sector-10 to establish a tractor manufacturing facility valued at ₹4,500 crore. For the project, which is anticipated to create 4,000 employment in phases, the firm and the Uttar Pradesh government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in August 2024.

Escorts Kubota would invest ₹2,000 crore in the first phase to build a tractor plant, a facility for commercial equipment, and related facilities. The market's demand and the first phase's utilization levels will determine the second phase of expansion.

The new facility will serve both local and foreign customers. In order to further solidify India's position as a center for the production of agricultural machinery and equipment, Escorts Kubota also intends to establish shared services for Kubota's worldwide research and development activities from India.

The company, which was established in 2019 as a joint venture between Escorts of India and Kubota of Japan, produces tractors, engines, farm equipment, and construction tools. It is anticipated that the new facility will greatly improve Uttar Pradesh's standing in the Indian market for industrial and agricultural gear.
