Chhattisgarh CM Visits Japan to Attract Tech & Trade Investments

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai embarked on a 10-day official visit to Japan and South Korea, aiming to attract technology-driven investments and promote industrial collaboration in the state. The visit, combining elements of spirituality, trade diplomacy, and innovation, reflects Chhattisgarh’s ambition to position itself as a hub for industrial growth and digital advancement.

On his arrival in Tokyo, CM Sai visited the historic Asakusa Temple, one of the city’s oldest and most iconic shrines. There, he offered prayers for the happiness, prosperity, and progress of Chhattisgarh’s 3 crore residents, signaling the blending of cultural diplomacy with official engagements.

Sai led a delegation in a high-level meeting with Kayo Ito, CEO of NTT Ltd, a global IT infrastructure and digital solutions leader operating in over 50 countries with annual revenues of USD 90 billion. The discussions centered on strengthening Chhattisgarh’s digital ecosystem, leveraging NTT’s expertise in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT solutions, and attracting technology-driven investments to the state.

The CM attended a dinner hosted by Indian Ambassador to Japan Sibi George. Discussions highlighted the role of industrial collaboration in fostering trade security, ecological balance, and economic stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Sai emphasized Chhattisgarh’s potential for industrial partnerships by combining Japan’s advanced technology with India’s skilled workforce. He also stressed promoting cultural exchanges and enhancing tourism opportunities for Japanese visitors in the state.

The first day of the visit effectively blended cultural diplomacy with investment promotion, establishing Chhattisgarh as an emerging destination for digital innovation, industrial collaboration, and global partnerships.
