The meeting also addresses the importance of transparency, efficiency, and predictability in customs and taxation systems. Strengthening these areas is expected to improve trade facilitation, encourage investment, and enhance Bangladesh’s competitiveness in international markets.

Bangladesh’s growing demand for US agricultural products, including cotton, is also discussed. ICC Bangladesh highlights the importance of improving supply chain traceability and sustainability, particularly in the apparel sector, where stronger access to quality raw materials can support export competitiveness.

The United States reaffirms its commitment to working with Bangladesh to deepen economic cooperation, expand commercial partnerships, and unlock new opportunities for sustainable growth.
