Mirziyod Yunusov, the head of the Uzeltechsanoat Association, convened a meeting with the management team of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), a top energy technology firm in China, Trend reports.

The parties shared detailed perspectives on promising avenues for promoting green energy technologies in Uzbekistan and examined extensive possibilities for cooperative benefits.

The key cooperation areas discussed include the localization of ESS (Energy Storage System) battery production for solar and wind energy storage in Uzbekistan, which is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency and reliability of the country’s renewable energy sector.

The discussions also covered the manufacturing of cutting-edge batteries for electric vehicles, a critical step toward accelerating the development of Uzbekistan’s electric vehicle industry and supporting its environmental sustainability objectives.

Additionally, the implementation of advanced eco-friendly technologies for recycling used batteries was highlighted, aimed at minimizing waste and optimizing the use of raw materials.

At the end of the meeting, both stakeholders expressed a strong mutual commitment to building a cooperative partnership and agreed on working together to move the discussed initiatives from concept to actual implementation.
