- Tawazun, Pilatus expand PC-12 Pro composite parts production at Strata, UAE
- Partnership continues 100 shipsets and adds a new offset project
- Strata has made 31,500+ components, 1,140+ shipments globally
The Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, an independent UAE government body that works together with the Ministry of Defence and security agencies, made a deal with Pilatus Aircraft (Stans, Switzerland) to extend the cooperation in production of composite parts for the PC-12 Pro.
The manufacture of these components is going to be done by Strata Manufacturing PJSC which is based in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and is recognized as a leading advanced manufacturing company with a 100 percent ownership by Mubadala Investment Co.
The deal guarantees that the current partnership between Strata and Pilatus will continue. This partnership consists of the supply of 100 shipsets divided among five current work packages and it will be also expanded through a new offset project that aims at the production of PC-12 Pro composite components with support from Tawazun.
Tawazun's commitment to improving domestic manufacturing capabilities and encouraging international cooperation in dual-use technologies is underscored by this project. The company Strata, which was set up in the year 2009, has made over 31,500 components for the aerospace industry and has sent more than 1,140 shipments from Al Ain to Switzerland.

The shipments consist of PC-24 flap track fairings, belly fairings, bullet fairings, tail cones, pylon fairings, and internal floor panels, thus highlighting Strata’s major role in the global aerospace supply chain and its influence in the UAE’s industrial and technological development.
