- Pakistani and Saudi officials discussed ways to enhance bilateral strategic cooperation
- Talks build on a landmark 2024 defense pact treating attacks on one as attacks on both
- Engagements now extend beyond security to climate resilience and sustainable development
According to Pakistan's Press Information Department (PID), officials from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have entered into discussions to look at the ways of further strengthening the strategic cooperation between the two countries.
The talks represent the solid partnership that existed between the two countries, which included political, security, economic, and cultural areas, and was also supported by the religious aspects.
The two nations have high-level meetings frequently for the purpose of sharing and discussing regional and worldwide developments, and they are usually in agreement on the matters of peace, stability, and the larger Muslim community.
This recent interaction is a continuation of the great bilateral momentum that was created by the historic defense agreement that was signed in September last year.
The agreement states that an act of aggression by one state will be regarded as an act of aggression against both states and it formalizes the long-standing military cooperation into a security commitment that is binding and also signals closer strategic alignment.
