Qatar Chamber Explores Trade, Investment with African Nations

First Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber, Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, conducted two distinct meetings on Thursday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan, Monday Semaya K. Kumba, and HE Minister of Industrialisation, Business, Trade and Tourism of Malawi, George Patridge.

Conversations centered on improving trade and economic ties between the private sectors of Qatar and both South Sudan and Malawi. Al Kuwari conveyed the Chamber's eagerness to explore South Sudan's economic prospects and business environment, highlighting the Chamber's backing for efforts that foster collaboration between Qatari and South Sudanese business sectors.

HE Monday Kumba, highlighted South Sudan's goal to draw in Qatari investments, stating that his government offers numerous facilities, incentives, and protections to investors. Board Member of Qatar Chamber, Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli, commended the proposal of creating a joint business council, emphasizing the necessity of involving proactive business leaders with sincere goals to foster enduring trade and investment collaborations between both parties.

Al Kuwari emphasized Qatar's keen desire to enhance its investments throughout Africa, mentioning that Qatari entrepreneurs are enthusiastic about seeking opportunities in Malawi.

First Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber, Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, met with Malawi's Minister of Industrialisation, Business, Trade and Tourism, George Patridge. He also emphasized the significance of enhancing collaboration between Qatar Chamber and the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, aiming to foster communication between the private sectors of both nations and to connect Qatari investors with potential partnership and joint venture opportunities.

He emphasized Malawi's positive investment environment and the benefits offered to investors, including a one-stop business center that streamlines processes and aids in the creation of new enterprises.
