Korean Air collaborated with U.S. based Anduril Industries to co-develop and manufacture autonomous aircraft for South Korea and the Asia -Pacific region. The news follows the announcement at the launch of Anduril's Korea office in Seoul hosted by the U.S. Commercial Service and U.S. Embassy, and builds on the technical cooperation MOU the organizations signed in April of 2025.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will: Collaborate to develop Korean specific unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) relying on Anduril’s technology, License-produce Anduril products including Korean localized versions, in South Korea to export throughout the Asia-Pacific region, Explore the potential of establishing manufacturing facilities in South Korea.

Anduril is known for its AI powered Lattice platform that integrates unmanned systems and allows real-time data to be used for rapid situational requirements on the it is battlefield. Korean Air will also utilize its knowledge and understanding of UAV development to generate systems which meet and exceed Korean needs. This partnership will enhance Korean Air’s unmanned systems acquisitions and reinforce its position as a key player in regional defense acquisition systems.
Korean Air's Aerospace Division Senior Vice President Jin Kyu Lim commented that, "The partnership represents the coming together of Korean Air's expertise in developing UAV's and Anduril's cutting-edge AI, and it's a major milestone in the global unmanned systems market."
