Kazakhstan, Xiaomi Explore High-Tech and EV Partnership

President Tokayev presents the vision of Kazakhstan for establishing a modern digital economy through increased use of artificial intelligence, enhanced capability in high-tech manufacturing, and cooperation with the international tech companies. Realising the increasing popularity of Xiaomi in Kazakhstan, he calls for exploration of joint initiatives in AI, cloud computing, and digital platforms.

According to Lu Weibing, Xiaomi’s strategy in the Central Asian region is aimed at ensuring that there is an effective way of distributing the company's products, and that the firm is currently working on this issue. He highlights that Xiaomi should consider training its people so that they can maintain the intelligent system.

Another topic discussed at the meeting is that of cooperation in the sphere of advanced manufacturing. According to President Tokayev, there is significant interest in the part of the Kazakhstani side in cooperating with Xiaomi for manufacturing electric cars, batteries, and smart transport systems. This type of cooperation should promote the diversification of the country’s industry.

Moreover, the dialogues have pointed out potential for strengthening the aspects of research, innovation, and technology transfer via increased collaboration between Kazakhstan and Xiaomi. At the end of the discussion, President Tokayev restates the willingness of Kazakhstan to assist Xiaomi in its expansion within the country.
