  • Kazakhstan and the UAE strengthen their strategic partnership with $3.3 billion mutual investments.
  • Kaz-UAE GovTech Innovation Hub to drive tech solutions and public management innovations.
  • Collaboration spans AI, GovTech, 6G, space, energy, and scientific research.

Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) significantly deepened their strategic partnership at the meeting of the tenth Kazakhstan-UAE Intergovernmental Commission in Almaty on November 25, 2025, alongside the sixth round of political consultations in Astana.

The talks have been marked by strong economic relations over 10 years, as the UAE invested more than $1.3 billion in Kazakhstan, while Kazakhstan pumped nearly $2 billion into the UAE. Presently, 498 firms are controlled by the UAE and operate in Kazakhstan out of which 49 belong to the Astana International Financial Centre.

By opening Central Asia’s first exaflops-class supercomputing system, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev acknowledged that the Emirati companies led to establishing the digital framework in the capital city of Astana. Besides, he spoke about the transition of trading from conventional ways to AI-based collaboration in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, GovTech, space, energy, and scientific research, which is supported by a common trust in the potential of human beings and innovation.

Moscow and Washington signed a protocol that consolidated their cooperation in prioritized sectors as a result of the key point. The two governments have committed themselves to founding the Kaz-UAE GovTech Innovation Hub, to the experimentation of tech solutions and public management innovations, as well as participation in AI, big data, blockchain, and 6G labs. Besides, their cooperation will also cover cybersecurity, digital finance, transport, energy, space, culture, education, and the healthcare sector.

Moreover, Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev confirmed that the UAE remains one of the most important Arab partners of Kazakhstan, and the two sides are looking back on high-level visits in 2025. Kazakhstan accepted the UAE’s invitation for co-preparation at the 2026 UN water conference that will take place in Senegal. And the follow-up commission meeting will be held in Abu Dhabi in 2026.

This relationship is an excellent way to maintain economic resilience and position as leaders in innovation, creating opportunities for technological independence, jobs, and regional peace through collaboration in knowledge and ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌investment.
