Kazakhstan and Norway have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations during high-level talks focused on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, environmental sustainability, and innovation. The discussions reflected both countries' shared interest in deepening economic engagement and identifying new avenues for long-term strategic collaboration.
The meeting took place between Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu and Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide. The two officials reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and discussed measures to further enhance political dialogue and economic cooperation between their countries.
Both sides acknowledged the positive momentum in Kazakhstan–Norway relations and emphasized the importance of maintaining regular high-level engagement. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation based on mutual trust, shared economic interests, and respect for international partnerships.
Economic collaboration featured prominently in the discussions. The ministers explored opportunities to increase bilateral trade, encourage greater investment, and promote cooperation between businesses in both countries. They noted that Norway remains one of Kazakhstan’s important European investment partners, with Norwegian companies actively participating in various sectors of the Kazakh economy.
