IT Park Uzbekistan and 01Booster plan a 2026 program to help Uzbek startups enter Japan through market preparation, investor connections, acceleration support and international expansion.
IT Park Uzbekistan and Japanese startup support company 01Booster have agreed to launch a program aimed at helping Uzbek startups and IT companies enter the Japanese market in 2026. The initiative is being developed to provide market-entry support, connect companies with Japanese businesses and investors, and facilitate international expansion.
The agreement was reached during ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026 at a meeting between Farrukh Erkinov, Director of Startup Ecosystem Development at IT Park Uzbekistan, and Takeru Kawashima, Executive Director of 01Booster.

Founded in Tokyo in 2013, 01Booster operates in startup acceleration, venture investment, open innovation and corporate innovation. The two organizations are jointly developing a market entry program designed to help Uzbek startups and software developers establish a presence in Japan.
The partners have already conducted a joint Go-to-Market webinar in 2026 for Uzbek startups and IT companies interested in the Japanese market. The practical stage of the initiative is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The program is expected to focus on preparing participating companies to operate in Japan, developing connections with local corporations and investors, introducing acceleration mechanisms and supporting international scaling. It will also include efforts to promote Uzbek startup products in Japan and organize joint forums and Demo Days.
The cooperation forms part of wider technology ties between Uzbekistan and Japan. According to IT Park Uzbekistan, the number of Japanese companies holding IT Park resident status increased from two to 25 in nearly two years. The Uzbek-Japan Digital Community Forum held during ICT Week 2026 also brought together government representatives, technology companies, investors and innovation ecosystem leaders to discuss investment, digital cooperation and international market expansion.

IT Park Uzbekistan and 01Booster also discussed the possibility of establishing a 01Booster venture fund in Uzbekistan. If pursued, the initiative could provide local startups with additional access to Japanese investors and corporate partners.
The organizations plan to continue cooperation in startup acceleration, investor engagement and joint venture initiatives, with the broader objective of strengthening connections between the Uzbek and Japanese technology ecosystems.
