Walid Gamal El-Din, Chair of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), hosted a meeting with Singapore's Ambassador to Cairo, Dominic Goh, at the SCZONE offices in the New Administrative Capital. The discussion centered on enhancing bilateral relations and investigating investment prospects in the SCZONE, specifically highlighting its industrial and logistics areas, along with associated seaports.
In the conversation, Gamal El-Din detailed the various investment prospects offered by SCZONE’s strategic vision, encompassing 21 diverse industrial and logistics sectors. He highlighted that the connection of ports and industrial zones is essential for linking production activities with international markets, particularly since the Authority owns six ports situated on both the Mediterranean and Red Seas.

Gamal El-Din conveyed the SCZONE’s strong desire to partner with Singaporean organizations and companies across various important sectors. He observed that current discussions with Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) concentrate on sharing Singapore’s advanced knowledge in port management and operations. The partnership intends to integrate the newest smart port innovations, crucial for the SCZONE's digital transformation plan for ports.
The Chairperson emphasized that this collaboration is essential for facilitating the execution of the Authority’s digital transformation projects, which seek to strengthen governance, boost operational efficiency, and expand cargo handling capabilities at SCZONE ports.
