In a crucial move to improve bilateral relations, the Singapore Business Federation recently met with Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce to bolster business ties and encourage investment prospects. The gathering occurred on July 29, 2025, involving Her Excellency Cham Nimman, the Commerce Minister, and Mr. Soo Wei Chieh, Executive Director of International Business and the Head of the Singapore Business Federation delegation.

In the meeting, Mr. Soo emphasized the positive outlook and rising interest in business opportunities and investments in Cambodia. He praised the Cambodian government for its continuous dedication to creating an atmosphere that supports private sector development, essential for the nation’s economic advancement. Mr. Soo highlighted the significance of government incentives and fresh initiatives that promote business and investment.

Minister Cham Nimman thanked the Singapore Business Federation for its strong interest in investing in Cambodia. The Minister also detailed strategies to reinforce current markets while seeking chances to broaden and establish new ones.

This meeting acted as a confirmation of the Cambodian government’s dedication to supporting and promoting Singaporean companies and investors working in the nation, with the goal of cultivating a mutually advantageous economic relationship.
