
BEML has announced to exchanges that the company has obtained approval from the Chhattisgarh cabinet for the allotment of 100 acres of land at Janjgir-Champa district, at a nominal rate of Re. 1 per acre, as part of the state government land grant to support the Heavy Earth Moving Equipment manufacturing plant in the area.
In the exchange filing, the company shared, “We wish to inform that the Chhattisgarh cabinet has approved the allotment of 100 acres of land in Janjgir-Champa district to the Company at Re. 1 per acre for setting up a state-of-the-art Heavy Earth Moving Equipment manufacturing plant in the state.”
It is hoped that the investment will support the economy, create jobs, increase the industrial economy, and encourage innovation in technologies related to the heavy equipment industry. The plant will manufacture advanced earth-moving equipment that will support demand from the mining, construction, and transportation sectors both locally and in national infrastructure and development.
In the meantime, BEML announced it declared its second interim dividend of ₹ 15 per equity share in respect of the financial year 2024 – 25 at the meeting of the 411th Board of Directors meeting dated May 9, 2025. The interim dividend represents 150% of the equity share (face value of ₹ 10), which is consistent with the good performance of the company.
