Amprius Technologies, Inc., a leader in advanced lithium-ion batteries with its Silicon Anode Platform, has announced a new contract manufacturing partnership with a major battery manufacturer in South Korea. This strategic partnership extends Amprius’ worldwide production capability and improves its capacity to provide high-performance SiCore cells in large quantities to satisfy global demands.
The South Korean collaborator has significant expertise in producing advanced lithium-ion batteries in various form factors and cell chemistries. The initial output will feature a well-designed SiCore cell optimized for delivering both high-energy and high-power capabilities for an advanced drone.

The facility located in Korea will produce SiCore silicon anode cells according to Amprius' specifications, aiding both existing and future battery technologies. These advanced lithium-ion cells are tailored for demanding applications in aerospace, defense, and electric transportation. In addition, this manufacturing partnership enhances Amprius’ current 1.8 GWh of contracted production capacity, allowing the Company to produce at scale and compete more efficiently in global markets. This growth also enables Amprius to optimize logistics and speed up delivery schedules for clients worldwide.
