Air Astana Launches Bold New Astana–Da Nang Route to Expand in SE Asia

Air Astana has officially launched nonstop flights between Kazakhstan and Vietnam, linking the capital, Astana, to Da Nang, a standout city by the sea.The first flight, which set off on May 14, 2025, marks a key move to boost links between Vietnam and Central Asia and to benefit from the rapid growth in tourism.

The airline makes this notable extension to their route in Vietnam as a sign of their efforts to cater to the rising customer demand for direct flights between the two places.

Tarrying at the airport of Astana until almost 10:55 in the night, the new-generation Airbus A321LR then lands at Da Nang Airport at 08:25 in the morning: an overnight flight to keep tourists in good spirits as they set out to explore one of the most scenic and culturally diverse regions in southeastern Vietnam.

The airline now operates twice per week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, between Astana and Da Nang. This is one key enhancement to Air Astana's wider operations across Vietnam, characterizing its activity during the summer months. With its onset, Air Astana has liberated Kazakhstani travelers' selection for further Southeast Asian destinations and has, in that way, become so much more relevant.

Da Nang is famous for its old historical places, interesting mix of foods, and clean white sand beaches. It serves as a way to get to nearby UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Hue and Hoi An, and it’s also a main place for culture and business in central Vietnam.

There are now eleven weekly flights running to Vietnam through Air Astana, and one of them goes from Astana to Da Nang. In addition to flights to Da Nang, the airline also runs four weekly flights from Almaty and three from Astana to Nha Trang, which is another beachy place that people like to visit.
